Serenity Home is a residential care community that provides personalized support, daily living assistance, wellness services, dining, housekeeping, activities, and 24-hour care staff for residents.

Residents enjoy a variety of scheduled activities including day trips, cooking, baking, movies, bingo, discussion groups, shopping trips, and social events. Monthly activity calendars are distributed to residents.

Yes. The residence makes reasonable efforts to support residents as their needs change through individualized service plans. However, if a resident’s needs can no longer be safely met, a transfer to a more appropriate level of care may be necessary.

Menus are posted for residents’ convenience. We have three different times for meals, and residents have the choice to eat in the formal dining room or the eat-in kitchen.

Residents are asked to dress appropriately in public areas and refrain from wearing pajamas or nightclothes in the dining room during meals.

Yes, but residents are asked not to keep perishable foods in their rooms and to store snacks in airtight containers.

Yes. Bedrooms and bathrooms are cleaned weekly by the housekeeping staff.

Yes. Washable clothing is collected and returned weekly. Residents are responsible for arranging dry cleaning services.

The maintenance staff handles repairs for facility property and approved wall mounting requests. Residents should notify staff of any needed repairs.
Resident Care & Safety

A Resident Care Manager, who is a BLS (Basic Life Support) Director is a registered nurse (RN), coordinates and oversees care services.

Each resident receives an Individualized Service Plan developed by their physician and the care services team shortly after admission. Residents and family members are encouraged to participate in care review meetings.

Yes. Residents have the right to choose their own healthcare providers and services.

Staff will arrange emergency transportation, notify the resident’s physician, and coordinate care as needed. Emergency transportation costs are the responsibility of the resident.

Yes. Prescription and non-prescription medications are stored and administered according to physician orders.

Yes. Residents may use the pharmacy of their choice if the pharmacy meets facility requirements.

Yes, but furniture must fit safely within the bedroom. Electrical devices must be inspected for fire safety, and extension cords are not permitted.

Yes. Residents are expected to participate in periodic fire drills and follow staff instructions during drills.

Residents should report lost items to the Case Manager or Care Supervisor so staff can attempt to recover them and document the claim.

Residents are protected by a Resident Bill of Rights, and policies are in place to ensure dignity, privacy, and respect.

The Case Manager works closely with residents and families to coordinate room changes, transfers, or discharge arrangements and provide support resources as needed.
Information for Visitors

Yes. Family and guests are welcome to visit at times convenient for the resident. Visitors are asked to sign in and out for security purposes.

Yes. Residents may leave for walks, outings, or overnight visits and are asked to sign out and back in when returning.

Yes. Guests may dine with residents when arrangements are made at least 24 hours in advance through the Case Manager. A small fee applies.

Yes. Lounges are available throughout the home for visiting and recreation.

No. Serenity Home is a smoke-free environment.
